Cancellation and Return Policy
At Edify, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, please review the cancellation, returns, and refunds terms outlined below.
1. Cancellation
Before dispatch
You can cancel the order before it is shipped. Payment gateway and processing fees (minimum Rs. 525) will be deducted from the refund amount.
After dispatch
If an order is cancelled after dispatch, shipping charges (both ways) and gateway charges (if any) will be deducted before refund.
2. Return pathway
Your return pathway depends on two factors: whether the product is defective under our Final Quality Check (FQC), and how many days have passed since delivery.

"Defective" means the product fails one or more checks in our FQC Criteria. Non-defective returns always go through the Buyback Program, regardless of timing.
3. Eligibility for 14-day return
You are entitled to return or replace your order within 14 days of receiving it, provided the product meets at least one of the following:
- The product is damaged (not meeting FQC norms), defective, or significantly different from the description on the product detail page.
- The product has missing parts, accessories, or any included items.
4. Conditions for return
- The product must be returned in its original condition, with all original packaging, tags, and accessories intact.
- The product must not have been damaged while in your possession, and it must be the same item that was shipped to you.
- Any device that stores personal information must have all such information removed prior to return. Edify shall not be liable for any misuse of such information.
- Products purchased by mistake or for buyer’s remorse (for example, wrong model or colour) may be eligible for return with a deduction as per the Buyback Policy.
- Ensure the product is properly packaged to prevent transit damage. Edify is not responsible for damage caused by improper packaging.
5. Return process
To initiate a return, contact customer support via our Contact Us page, email contact@edify.club, or call +91-9513245671 (Mon to Sat, 10 AM to 7 PM).
- Do not return items without first requesting a return. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
- For certain products, a technician visit may be scheduled. The technician’s report determines eligibility for return or replacement.
- If the device fails our quality checks, the return is accepted without charge. If it passes all checks, applicable deductions apply.
- Approved replacements ship within 24 to 48 hours of the returned unit reaching our warehouse.
6. Non-returnable items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Products no longer in their original condition.
- Products damaged due to improper use or handling, except for replaceable parts (keyboard, back panel, and similar) which are charged as per the damage charges schedule.
- Items customised or personalised at or after purchase.
7. Refund process
- You are eligible for a refund request within 14 days of receiving the product if it is damaged, defective, or not as described.
- After 14 days, the request is considered under the Buyback Program with applicable depreciation.
8. Return to origin — product not delivered
If the product is returned to us without being delivered to you:
- Once the product reaches our warehouse, we initiate a refund within 24 to 48 hours. The amount is credited back to source within 14 business days, net of courier charges, except for non-customer-dependent reasons (non-serviceable locations, misrouted shipments, delivery failures on our side).
- For COD orders: if the customer does not pick up the call at the time of delivery and the product is returned for this reason, the partial amount paid at order placement is not refunded.
9. Delivered to customer and returned
- Once the returned product reaches our warehouse, it is inspected (24 to 48 hours). After inspection, the refund is initiated and credited within 14 business days.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method. For COD orders, refunds are credited to the bank details provided.
- Additional fees may apply based on the Terms of Service.
10. Refund — defective product
No additional charges apply, except for the months of use as calculated under the Buyback Policy.
11. Refund — non-defective product
A restocking fee applies: minimum 12.5% or 5% per month on reducing balance, whichever is greater. If induced damage is found, damage charges are deducted additionally.
12. Quality criteria
Whether a returned product is defective is determined by our Final Quality Check. The FQC covers 30+ categories spanning body panels, hinges, battery health, display, storage, ports, and software. Some checks are pass/fail against measurements; others are subjective (visual, tactile, or experiential).
For subjective checks, Edify’s decision at the time of inspection is final and binding.
13. Customer-induced damage charges
If returned devices show damage attributable to the customer, the following charges are deducted in addition to any restocking or depreciation. All amounts in Indian Rupees.

Charges are indicative and may be revised based on the actual repair or replacement cost at the time of return. For parts not listed but applicable to the model returned, an equivalent charge is applied at Edify’s discretion.
14. Policy changes
Edify reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Review periodically.
15. Company rights
Edify reserves the right to:
- Refuse a return if the product does not meet the conditions above.
- Limit the number of returns or exchanges for customers with a history of excessive returns.
- Determine the eligibility of a product for return, replacement, or refund at its sole discretion.
